I've noticed there's been a lot of biased opinions society has placed on others on their opinions, beliefs, what people make of their lives and themselves. I say bull chit. It's none of anyone's business what others do, think and feel. The way I see it, if it isn't hurting me and the choices that I make for myself, then why bother. I wonder if such things are done because society's bored and they have nothing else better to do with their time than to pick on others.
One of the things I was afraid of anyone knowing about, recently, is the amount of music I've built up on my youtube account. I've hidden A LOT only because I didn't want people to associate what I listen to as it being affiliated with me, who I am and how I think. A lot of it is definitely not the case. I just like listening to music. Sometimes I save it for the music videos. It could be it's the lyrics I like, the meanings, which can be totally different on how I think of them compared to another person, etc. If someone's going to draw a conclusion as to who they think I am because of the music I listen to, then those type of people don't understand me and they never will.
I told a friend the other day I finally get what a lot of music is missing today. I'm really into 80's and 90's music. Sometimes, music (today) slips through and you get something "enjoyable" to the ears, but it just doesn't do it for me like the music I like.
All musicians, I'm sure can agree, that everyone expresses themselves in their own way. It feels like there's not enough emotion in music today. Whether a musician makes music that is in relation to their lives or not, I'm sure they can agree it's OK to make music that has part of yourselves in it. It doesn't necessarily have to be romance. It can be an experience you want others to feel that comes from your soul. That you put your heart into, because you want others to feel how it also makes you feel. I think that's just the tip of the iceberg on what music is missing today. I don't feel that in today's music. Not really at all. I hear something that slips through, but most of it sounds dead to me. I'm just not that into the present music that's played today. I'm probably getting old. LOL!
So, I now made all my music playlists public. I choose to do this because good music shouldn't be held from others. If anyone comes across my playlists and sees a few songs they like, then my mission is done. XD I'm not saying the music I like is better than anyone else's. I just want to support the musicians and artists that have made a good impact on my life. The music totally turned my world upside down and inside out and I love every minute of it. It still does. =)
I'll leave you guys with one of my favorite songs by Whitesnake. I can't help but put this song on repeat every now and then. It's so trance-matic and beautiful.

Nicely Said! Although I'm A Bit Biased Towards 80'S Music Seeing That Was My Generation. The Music Had More Feeling And The Writing Was Better.
