Entitlement Boundaries for the Artist's Fans

I read an article one night about some changes that pertained to the Art and the media field about TMNT being revamped and some game called Mass Effect 3. People are all going haywire over both changes and, it's created yet another "entitlement" effect. So a lot of people don't like the ending to the game. If you don't like the ending or the game, please feel free to go about making one yourself. I was lucky and blessed enough to be in the age where they barely worked and was happy to have a game.
As for comics/books and movies, I have to say the best I've ever liked to read or watch were done solely by the the Artist (Dark Crystal, Legend & Back to the Future 1-3, to name a few). When people let an Artist be an Artist, the Artist is freely putting forth into this world a fantasy world that doesn't exist, and bringing what's in their imagination to reality in a format that people can enjoy. No one has to like what you want to show. People have the freedom to choose what they want to like. If you didn't like it the first time, don't buy it or read it again. Mass Effect 3 is a perfect example of catering too much to the public.
Don't they know, "If you give an inch, they'll take a mile" comes at a pretty hefty price. If I were to ever build up a fan base for my Art, I think it would be awesome. If the fans started giving ideas for my next comic stories, I think it would be very cool that my story would take to their hearts to want to make time to tell me their ideas. Will I cater to EVERYTHING they want in the story. Most likely not. A story wouldn't be fun for me to write if the fans know where I'm taking the storyline, now would they. ;) The way I see it, I was given a gift to use to display my thoughts and feelings out to the world by GOD. If no one likes it, you have a right not to, and that's ok. If you still don't like it no matter what.... Well, I'll let the Rolling Stones take over from here.
